1 review for Lead Forward Momentum Guides

  1. Kim Roy

As an Assistant Principal, one of my core responsibilities is supporting and developing the leadership capacity of my staff. The Lead Forward Momentum Guides are an invaluable resource in this work. These guides offer clear, practical action steps that I can immediately apply with my instructional leadership team, which includes grade-level team leaders (PK-4), as well as our literacy and math coaches. What I love most about the guides is their structure. Each one begins with a thoughtfully crafted essential question that grounds thinking. From there, the six “Boost” steps provide focused areas for reflection, each paired with a specific action to ensure meaningful progress. This framework will support me in being intentional and aligned in my school’s leadership development efforts. These guides will further equip me in leading with more purpose and clarity. I have used a few actions already with my instructional leadership team and the feedback from the teachers has been positive. Teachers on the team feel as if there is more of a purpose, it is aligned with our district work in supporting overall student improvement, and teachers have expressed that they feel more confident and capable in providing peer feedback to their colleagues.
